The Loopback Story

Loopback is a pioneering biomaterials company, transforming waste streams into sustainable colour solutions for PHA based materials. At the intersection of circular design and materials innovation, we’re creating a new visual language for sustainable fashion and beyond.

Our mission is to replace synthetic and toxic colorants with credible, stable pigments derived from horticultural waste—turning what would be discarded into valuable chromatic resources. By collaborating with scientists, designers, and manufacturers, we’re building colour palettes that meet both the aesthetic demands of contemporary design and the urgent need for environmentally responsible materials.

Our initial products take the form of Jewellery —our bangle is an ideal showcase due to the compact size and substantial surface area for colour demonstration. These fashion-forward accessories showcase how biodegradable materials can achieve visual credibility in a recognisable consumer product, providing tangible proof of our material’s potential in the fashion accessories market.

We’ve partnered with BSI to develop our fashion-forward colour solutions with sustainable, reliable  supply chains that maintain visual credibility while meeting existing manufacturing requirements. This research seeks to prove that sustainability doesn’t require aesthetic compromise—that beautiful, commercially viable colour’s can emerge from biological waste resources.

For designers and brands committed to reducing their environmental impact, Loopback offers new colour technology and innovation that closes the loop between waste and want, technical performance and visual inspiration.
